This page contains information on where to buy items connected with
Biblical activities such as the Feasts, as well as recommendations for
other items that can be purchased from Isra'el. We try to buy as
many products as we can from Isra'el as a form of support for their
economy. So far the products we have purchased have been of the
highest quality and yet can be obtained for reasonable prices.
Usually, the people we deal with are also some of the most honest and
integrity minded business people anywhere. We have enjoyed every
purchase we have made, and hope you do too.

Excellent information and presentations on
Israel, especially concerning living daily with terror attacks.
Accurate perspective from a couple living and working inside the
country. Their names are Udi (he is a web designer) and Mal (she
works with disabled people) Ohana and they have managed to condense much
of the confusing events into easy to understand graphical presentations.
View the site for information, and buy the CD's if you can, or just help
them with some support. Udi's site is
www.conceptwizard.com for web
designs.
This company is a great place for ladies (but also for men too).
They have all sorts of oils and salts and lotions for helping us smell
and feel good. We buy their Frankincense and Myrrh product
(anointing oil), and it not only smells good but has some medicinal
properties for skin problems and even athlete's foot. We've also
purchased some nice candles and beautiful containers from them. We
usually buy the anointing oil in the four-ounce bottle, but it is much
less expensive if you buy the 16-ounce size. I bought my wife a
'Queen Esther' bath set of spikenard, and she loves it. Take a
while to shop around there and I guarantee you will find lots to like
and order.
www.christianbook.com
This is
THE place to buy most books and study aids. Excellent prices,
service, and availability. Every purchase in our experience has
gone smoothly and they are very responsive. The pricing is
unbelievable, especially when they have sales. We bought a
Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (Kittel - 10 hardcover
volumes) for $100.00 at one point. If you need a book or another
Bible translation check this site out and you won't be sorry.
www.begedivri.com
Pronounced bay-gayd ee-vree this site has some good information
on customs and tradition, as well as many beautiful products to order,
mostly garments. As a matter of fact, they have some unique
garments for ladies that are based on ancient traditional designs.
We haven't ordered from them, but it is an interesting site and if you
are looking for clothing this is a good place to start.
They also
have information on tying tassels (tzitzit) and they promote the tassels
with the blue thread (Hebrew techelet). Read the articles,
look at the clothes, and buy.
www.judaicartkits.com
Very nice site for artists and people who are 'artistically challenged.'
They make kits for all sort of garments and covers and so on. If
you are an artist you can buy quantities of kits for reduced prices.
So if you teach a class or sponsor an art project at your congregation,
these people are the ones to go to for supplies. If you want to
buy tassel kits with the blue thread (Hebrew techelet, accent on
the middle syllable) you have to buy the blue threads separate from the
white threads, but if you are making a number of sets then this is the
most reasonable place to buy them.
It is a
Jewish site and I don't think they have a problem selling to Gentiles as
some companies do. But those are getting more and more scarce (the
ones that won't) as the Jewish people come to the realization that they
have more friends than they think they do. So try this site out,
and if you need to you can call them (the one person we talked to had a
heavy Jewish accent and it was a little hard to understand him) and they
are very friendly.
www.neatzit.com
Interesting site with a different idea for wearing tassels. They
make a comfortable T-shirt that is designed with corners at the bottom
in case you really think that you need right-angle corners to wear the
tassels. We don't think so, but the garment looks like it might be
a good way to do it if you want to. Be very clear about the
ordering process, because we ordered some tassels from them and had some
misunderstandings. They were also sort of slow responding to
emails but I think they fixed that with the addition of a new office
person. The ordering process is pretty clear if you buy what they
have in the way that they have it. If you want to change something
I think that's when it gets a little complicated. But they are
good people and solved the small problems that we experienced.
These people are so honest and easy to deal with you would probably
not believe it if we told you. We bought a shofar from them and when it arrived it was not as long as we thought it
would be. They told us that if we wanted something else, to let
him know a few weeks later when the new batch came in from Isra'el and
they would send us the pick of the batch. We ended up really liking
the one we had so we kept it. A guy that worked there by the name
of Aaron said he had prayed and
selected according to what he thought the leading of the Spirit was, and
he was right.
Anyway, just a real pleasant buying experience - much different than
most secular companies. They have a great selection of shofars in
just about any size and shape you can think of, good prices, and many other products
besides. They are based in Florida but most all of their stuff
comes direct from Isra'el. They are a Jewish store so they have a
huge selection of cultural items, but they also love to sell to
Gentiles.
www.holylandmarketplace.com
This is promoted by Tom Bradford's site
www.torahclass.com. It is
a group of believers in Israel who, together, we are trying to support.
If you are looking for quality products straight from Israel, and you
want to support our Israeli believer brethren, then please look here
first.
This store is located in Jerusalem and the people who run it are
dedicated to helping rebuild the Temple. They have some models of
the Temple, books, tapes, and gifts. We buy our techelet (tzitzit
or tassels with the blue thread) from them. You can get one set of
four for about $29.00 or two sets
(enough to make eight tassels or two sets of four) for $50.00 as of this
writing, including postage from Isra'el. Very interesting
resource, and they don't mind selling to Gentiles as some Jewish stores
do (although the cranky Jewish stores might be changing their tune right
about now). If you want you can get on their mailing list and they will
send you updates on the activities of the Temple Mount Faithful and
other assorted information pertaining to their efforts. Usually
this information won't make it to the U.S. papers, so it is a good
source of accurate information, at least as it pertains to their
activities.
www.shopinisrael.com
We have not purchased from this web site but not because it doesn't
have a selection. Goodness gracious, there are so many shops represented
here that browsing is almost like going through a market in Isra'el.
This site is a collection of stores from various parts of Isra'el, so
each store is it's own business. Huge selection, all sorts of
products. Highly recommended for book marking.
www.israelexport.org
Another place we have not personally bought from, but worth including
here as another source of people who export from Isra'el. They
have a nice selection of shops, everything from apparel to software.
Browse around and if you buy something tell us what you think of the
experience.
www.theshofarman.com
Excellent site for shofars and other items
such as talits and menorahs. They have a lot of information and
very good pricing on shofars from what we could see. Recommended
for shofars in particular, but also good deals on other items.
If you know of any other web sites that
people might need to know about send us an email to
info@wholebible.com.
Also, if you have problems with any vendor we recommend please let us
know so we can investigate and either help resolve differences or remove
them from our list.
